Origins & Character

A resort shaped by stone paths, moss gardens and clear direction

The concept for Moss Compass began with the feeling of walking through a quiet landscape where every route feels deliberate. Moss softens the ground, stone provides structure and a compass offers certainty. The resort translates that balance into a hospitality environment that feels calm by day and richly atmospheric at night.

The entrance opens into Compass Hall, a carefully divided space using smoked timber, pale stone and muted brass to create smaller zones. From there, guests can reach the casino, dining rooms, theatre, wellness level and guest lifts without crossing unnecessary congestion.

The casino floor is divided into districts using ceiling form, floor pattern, furniture and lighting rather than barriers. This makes it easier to identify social tables, quieter electronic gaming, premium areas and service points on a first visit.

The navigational references are contemporary rather than decorative. Fine lines suggest contour maps, compass points and trail markers, while materials remain polished: timber, stone, brushed metal, moss-toned textiles and ribbed glass.

Casino Floor

Classic games, clear limits and a composed sense of direction

The main floor offers European roulette, blackjack, baccarat and selected poker-style games. Blackjack minimums typically begin at €10 during quieter periods, with €15 and €25 levels more common during busy evenings.

Approximately 410 gaming positions include classic reels, video slots, multi-denomination games and electronic roulette terminals. Machines are arranged in curved groups with comfortable spacing and clear circulation.

The North Salon is an invitation-led private area with four table games, dedicated hosting and a compact dining menu. Access depends on capacity, identification checks and hosting policies.

Selected afternoons may include introductory demonstrations using non-cash chips. These explain etiquette, probabilities and house advantage rather than promising systems.

Dining

Restaurants inspired by woodland herbs, stone hearths and seasonal routes

Compass Table is the formal restaurant, centred on modern European cooking, wild herbs and restrained presentation. A typical menu might include cured trout, roasted celeriac, venison and a pear dessert.

Waypoint Grill offers a more relaxed menu with polished service. The kitchen may serve steak tartare, grilled vegetables, roast chicken, lamb cutlets and a rib steak for two.

Moss Room serves breakfast through late evening. Morning service includes bakery, eggs, fruit, yoghurt and coffee. Later, the menu shifts to salads, pasta, grilled fish, sandwiches and a substantial burger.

North Bar overlooks the central hall and specialises in cocktails, alcohol-free aperitifs and small plates. The signature True Bearing combines gin, herbs and citrus.

The programme may include touring bands, vocal performances, contemporary dance, comedy and short-run productions. Weekend evenings tend to carry the largest shows.

Doors generally open forty-five minutes before showtime. Age guidance, recording rules, running times and accessibility information are confirmed for each event.

The adjoining Map Room hosts smaller acoustic sets, spoken-word performances and late-night sessions before and after the main show.

Wellness

A slower route through stone, steam and quiet gardens

The Wayfinder Spa uses warm stone, natural textures and muted green lighting to create a restorative environment. Treatments may include massage, facial therapies and shorter recovery sessions.

A compact thermal circuit includes a warm pool, dry sauna, steam room, experience shower and quiet loungers. Guests are encouraged to hydrate and take breaks.

The moss courtyard is designed for reading, conversation and rest rather than loud poolside activity. Loungers are allocated according to capacity.

Selected mornings may include guided stretching or low-impact mobility sessions. These are optional and are not a substitute for individual medical advice.

Private Events

Gatherings designed with structure, atmosphere and easy movement

The Meridian Hall can be configured for seated dinners, receptions, presentations or small performances. Adjustable lighting allows the room to change mood without disguising its architecture.

Hosted itineraries may combine accommodation, private dining, theatre seats, spa appointments and supervised casino introductions. Gaming participation is always optional.

Seasonal courtyard dinners may be arranged when weather and operating conditions permit. An indoor alternative is recommended for every outdoor event.

Organisers are encouraged to discuss mobility, sensory, dietary and communication requirements early so that suitable routes, seating and menu information can be confirmed.

Practical Planning

What to know before arrival

Smart casual clothing is suitable across most of the resort. Formal dining rooms and selected VIP events may encourage a more polished style.

Typical check-in begins at 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Early arrival and late departure depend on occupancy and may involve a fee.

Gaming areas are restricted to adults who meet the legal minimum age. Government-issued photographic identification may be requested.

Set a spending and time limit before entering the casino. Do not gamble with borrowed money or treat gambling as income.

The Meridian Walk

A signature route through stone courts, moss gardens and late-evening lounges

The Meridian Walk links the resort’s main public spaces through a sequence of quieter thresholds, helping guests move naturally between dining, theatre, gaming and rest.

Stone and planting

The route uses low stone walls, soft moss planting and carefully spaced lighting to make orientation feel intuitive rather than instructional. Seating appears at regular intervals, allowing guests to pause without stepping out of the social flow. Step-free routes follow the same visual sequence wherever practical, so accessible circulation does not feel secondary or hidden.

Late lounge service

Selected lounges remain open after theatre performances and formal dining service begins to close. The menu focuses on tea, coffee, alcohol-free drinks, digestifs and a concise selection of warm and cold plates. The atmosphere is intentionally quieter than the casino floor, giving guests a place to continue a conversation or finish the evening at a slower pace.

Seasonal navigation

The route changes subtly through the year. Autumn introduces deeper foliage, warmer textiles and richer drinks, while spring brings lighter planting and brighter aperitifs. These adjustments refresh the experience without replacing the resort’s core identity or turning the public spaces into temporary themed environments.

Balanced nighttime operation

Lighting, music and service levels are managed to protect nearby bedrooms and quiet guest areas. Staff remain visible along the route, assist with directions and address disruptive conduct when necessary. The objective is not silence, but a well-balanced evening in which social energy and private rest can exist comfortably within the same property.

“Moss Compass is designed around balance: a vivid evening with a clear sense of direction, followed by private spaces that feel completely still.”
